Sponsors and Supporters
Special thanks to our business sponsors and nonprofit partners for giving back to the community. Without their generous donation and support, many of the free special events and park improvements would not be possible.
We are currently seeking sponsors for several upcoming events. For more information about being a sponsor and its value please contact us. Thanks!
Chicago Park District
Let’s begin this page properly by thanking the Chicago Park District and its hard working employees who facilitate about 200 advisory councils throughout the city to discuss park improvements. Through their efforts, we have seen many of the maintenance improvements we raised come to fruition and this even includes some upcoming new playground equipment. They have sponsored many upcoming events as well, including: Movies in the Park, Night Out in the Park, a Kids Arts & Crafts mobile and provide staff to several of our other events. They provide the fieldhouse as a meeting space and attend our monthly meetings. A special thanks to our regional manager, area manager and park supervisor.
LISC Chicago
We wish to thank the Local Initiatives Support Corporation of Chicago who gave us matching funds on a seed grant that allowed us to launch this website, hang some event banners in the park and more.
Friends of the Parks
We wish to thank Friends of the Parks for their facilitation of Earth Day and providing us with cleaning supplies. Furthermore, they continue to provide us with sound advice, guidance and connections to other advisory councils for peer assistance.
Alderman Walter Burnett, 27th Ward
We wish to thank our Alderman who has always provided us with sound advice, a staff member to our monthly meetings to help coordinate efforts, and has been supportive of our events and initiatives as well as generously offering to sponsor a Movie in the Park in the future.
Near West Side Community Development Corporation
We wish to thank Near West Side CDC for their advice and allowing us to piggy-back on their website hosting service and Constant Contact account to allow for shared costs. We also wish to thank them for providing the only programming currently available at our park, our baseball team, the West Haven Giants.
